同事繼續(xù)：“Now we are all commemorating him, which shows how profoundly his spirit inspires everyone. We must all learn the spirit of absolute selflessness from him. With this spirit everyone can be very useful to the people. A man's ability may be great or small, but if he has this spirit, he is already noble-minded and pure, a man of moral integrity and above vulgar interests, a man who is of value to the people. ”
讀完后,同事對我說：“我很震驚。如果你不告訴我這是毛寫的，如果我把里面所有共產(chǎn)主義或意識形態(tài)字眼去掉，如果有人在我面前朗讀，我會以為我在聆聽上帝宣講。毛說的這些，和我曾經(jīng)在教堂聽到過的幾乎完全一樣。”
同事伸出手來，“我真得非常感謝你。你讓我看到了不一樣的毛，我想我開始尊敬他了。我更感謝的，我突然心變得很開闊了，我覺著整個世界的門在朝我打開，共產(chǎn)主義和毛已經(jīng)不再是我心里的障礙，我更了解了中國，我非常高興，我可以擁抱這些，我想就可以擁抱一切。” 同事笑了，笑得非常燦爛。從我認(rèn)識他以來，每次總是看到他紳士的、彬彬有禮的微笑，從來沒有看到過他笑的這么徹底，像綻裂開的花。
