孟山都與愛知縣農(nóng)業(yè)研究中心進(jìn)行了六年合作，提供資金及其專利技術(shù)在日本開發(fā)抗草甘膦除草劑稻米。堅持了十個月反對轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米運(yùn)動后，向愛知縣地方長官提交了58萬多民眾簽署的反對開發(fā)與商業(yè)化轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米的請愿書，在與邪惡孟山都的斗爭中人民贏得了勝利。日本愛知縣農(nóng)林部考慮到許多日本消費(fèi)者的反對終止與孟山都在日本開發(fā)抗草甘膦除草劑稻米的研究合作。筆者昨天出席了北京民眾探討通過民眾運(yùn)動反擊轉(zhuǎn)基因食品的會議，很受鼓舞！

Today, December 5, 2002, the chief of The Department of Agriculture and Forestry of Aichi Prefecture, Japan answered Ms. Tomomi Nakamura, an assembly member that they will stop the research cooperation with Monsanto they have continued since 1996 to develop Roundup herbicide tolerant rice strain in Japan.

今天，2002年12月5日，日本愛知縣農(nóng)林部負(fù)責(zé)人回答議員中村友美女士（Ms. Tomomi Nakamura）時表示，他們將終止與孟山都1996年以來在日本開發(fā)抗草甘膦除草劑稻米的研究合作。

He also said they decided not to commercialize the herbicide tolerant rice strain considering many Japanese consumers are opposing it.

他同時說明，他們是考慮到許多日本消費(fèi)者的反對從而決定不再從事抗草甘膦除草劑轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米的商業(yè)化。

陳一文顧問按：日本愛知縣農(nóng)林部能夠考慮到許多日本消費(fèi)者的反對從而決定不再從事抗草甘膦除草劑轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米的商業(yè)化，中國農(nóng)業(yè)部為什么一意孤行不考慮中國絕大部分消費(fèi)者同樣反對轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米的意見?。?/p>

The Japanese people won the victory after ten-month movement against the research. The movement led by NO GMO campaign, an organization opposing genetically modified crops in Japan, consisted 148 organizations and groups of consumers and organic farmers.

堅持了十個月反對轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米運(yùn)動后，日本人民贏得了勝利。在日本反對轉(zhuǎn)基因作物的“不要轉(zhuǎn)基因”運(yùn)動領(lǐng)導(dǎo)了該項(xiàng)運(yùn)動，他們由消費(fèi)者和有機(jī)農(nóng)民的148個組織組成。

陳一文顧問按：日本人民反對轉(zhuǎn)基因作物、轉(zhuǎn)基因食品的民眾運(yùn)動封殺轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米能夠贏得勝利，中國人民反對轉(zhuǎn)基因作物、轉(zhuǎn)基因食品的民眾運(yùn)動同意能夠贏得封殺轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米的勝利！

They had two big meeting against GM rice in Nagoya, the capital of the Aichi prefecture in July 7 and November 17, and handed the petition with signature of more than 580 thousand people against the development and commercialization of the GM rice to the Governor of Aichi Prefecture.

他們于2002年7月7日與11月17日在愛知縣首府名古屋組織了兩次大型集會，向愛知縣地方長官提交了58萬多民眾簽署的反對開發(fā)與商業(yè)化轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米的請愿書。

陳一文顧問：日本愛知縣一個縣形成了收集到58萬多民眾簽名的請愿書，北京市如果證據(jù)反對轉(zhuǎn)基因大豆油等轉(zhuǎn)基因大豆食品的請愿書如果收集簽名的話，筆者預(yù)計580萬應(yīng)當(dāng)沒有問題！筆者昨天出席了北京民眾探討通過民眾運(yùn)動反擊轉(zhuǎn)基因食品的會議，很受鼓舞！

The prefectural assembly today was noticed how the local government officials answer the question by Ms. Tomomi Nakamura who joined the movement and asked to stop the GM rice development in Aichi Prefecture.

愛知縣議會今天關(guān)注了地方官員如何回答議員中村友美女士（Ms. Tomomi Nakamura）提出的問題，中村友美女士參加了該項(xiàng)民眾運(yùn)動并且要求在愛知縣停止轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米的開發(fā)。

陳一文顧問：日本議員中村友美女士參加了反對轉(zhuǎn)基因食品的民眾運(yùn)動。繼2010年“兩會”期間全國人民代表與政協(xié)委員提出了反對轉(zhuǎn)基因食品十六項(xiàng)提案基礎(chǔ)上，筆者預(yù)計2011年“兩會”期間肯定提出更多更有力反對轉(zhuǎn)基因食品的提案！

Monsanto has cooperated with the Agricultural Research Center of Aichi Prefecture these six years giving it money and their patent technology to develop rice strains tolerant to the Roundup herbicide in Japan.

孟山都與愛知縣農(nóng)業(yè)研究中心進(jìn)行了六年合作，提供資金及其專利技術(shù)在日本開發(fā)抗草甘膦除草劑稻米。

The Roundup tolerant gene was injected into a rice strain that was developed by the research center using ordinary breeding technique, and was a recommended strain of the prefecture for farmers by its good taste.

抗草甘膦除草劑的基因插入到采用傳統(tǒng)繁殖技術(shù)的愛知縣農(nóng)業(yè)研究中心開發(fā)的稻米品種，因?yàn)樗奈兜篮芎檬菒壑h農(nóng)民推薦的一種稻米品種。

The Monsanto would get great profit if succeeded the development in Japan. However Japanese consumers opposed the development because rice is their main food in dairy life, and made petition with collecting signature against the research.

抗草甘膦除草劑的這種轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米如果開發(fā)成功的話，孟山都將獲得巨大的利潤。然而，日本消費(fèi)者堅決反對這種開發(fā)，因?yàn)榈久资撬麄內(nèi)粘Ｉ钪械闹骷Z，因而形成反對轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米研究的收集了大量簽名的請愿書。

The Roundup tolerant soybeans shared almost 75% in USA this year.

2002年，孟山都抗草甘膦轉(zhuǎn)基因大豆占到美國大豆總產(chǎn)量的大約75%。

The next target of Monsanto are GM rice and wheat, because both crop are produced six hundred millions a year in the world and are main food of Asian and European people.

孟山都的下一個目標(biāo)是轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米和轉(zhuǎn)基因小麥，因?yàn)檫@兩種主糧世界每年生產(chǎn)6億多噸，是亞洲人與歐洲人的主糧！

陳一文顧問：推動在中國開發(fā)轉(zhuǎn)基因大米，孟山都在中國果然如此！

Then development of genetically modified rice and wheat may the final target of the first generation GM crops that would promise great profit to the company.

開發(fā)轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米和轉(zhuǎn)基因小麥可能是孟山都第一代轉(zhuǎn)基因作物的最終目標(biāo)，它們將給孟山都帶來巨大的利潤！

The stop of the development of GM rice in Japan may be a great set back for Monsanto.

終止孟山都在日本開發(fā)轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米對孟山都而言可能是一個巨大的挫折。

The decision by Aichi Prefecture may influence and act as a brake to other GM crop research by institutes and companies in Japan. This may also be good news for people against GM rice and wheat in Asia and Europe.

愛知縣的決定可能影響與制動日本其他地方的研究所和公司的其他轉(zhuǎn)基因作物研究。對于反對轉(zhuǎn)基因稻米與轉(zhuǎn)基因小麥的亞洲與歐洲人民而言，這可能是個好消息！
